The question always is why do I need to ground, well there is a number of reasons that things need to be grounded one is for just electrical protection but when it comes to Radionic Instruments, the Radionic Instruments broadcast has an organized wave to the witness and a chaos wave returns to the instrument from which it came from and if that instrument is not grounded properly that chaos wave will find its way to the most organized thing around and that is the operator. This can be very dangerous if your instrument is ungrounded, so by grounding your instrument you provide a path for that chaos energy to go and essentially provide zero contamination to the operator of the instrument. When you're using Grounding Sheets, Grounding Pads and/or Earthing Pads again the main desire with those is to have a connection to the Earth. And since we all walk around in plastic shoes we have lost our Earth connection.
